This is the way it was explained to me for an answer when it was my turn to clean an extra nasty convenience store bathroom at the beach.

That you have to build up a tolerance to iodine and that people from the midwest like Iowa have no tolerance because they mostly eat corn.

It looked like a giant turd walked in there and exploded sh*t was even on the walls where they were using it to wipe it off of their shoes.
