Yea... I remember our elementary school principal sending home a consent form for paddling. My parents set me down and told me that not only were they signing the form, but if there was a reason to get paddled at school, I'd get it worse when I got home. Needless to say, it never happened to me. We never had canceled school for temperature, only for snow and it had to be a decent amount. Most of the time they sent us anyway only to turn us loose early. College was worse. They only officially cancelled school once when we got 36" of snow. Remember walking to the campus. 1.5 miles in -20 degree temps.
