Yur right, this Capt does not want to leave the house. Little melt from snows last 2 weeks.

Next week Mon. - Wed. wind chills as low as -25 predicted. Be lots of schools closed. (In "way back machine" this Capt never had school closed cause of temps.)

Snow today...figures as have to celebrate squeezes birthday - restaurant and party afterwards.

Egg prices were as high as $5.99 last week. Bakery continues super high.

Did stumble on good frozen sea scallops (actually bay scallops.) "Patagonia brand." Tender and sweet.

Finished annual basement floor wash and upstairs carpet scrubbing. Next project taxes.

Property tax up $320 year, while others seeing up to $6000 increase!!! Electric rates jumping too w/ some seeing bills 2x last months.

With the new Social Security bill signed, and the elimination of WEP and GPO, this Capt and other ex military who retired after subsequent govt jobs should "finally" get full social security payments.

Smile for the day...this Capt trudging thru the snow on multiple mornings looking for newspaper. Is thrown in driveway just before plows arrive.

Here feeding animals, cept birds, forbidden. This Capt bit of a "scofflaw" tho every year as have Halloween pumpkins out back.
