right in the bullseye of snow, temps in teens, don't think ice. 8 to 15 inches. put my plow on. have a 50 foot ash tree on ground, was standing dead from ash bugs. fell perfect. lot of people don't like ash for firewood. i love it. burns good and splits good. there might be different kinds of ash,people complain about to much ashes. no more than usual with mine. as far as food, just deboned 3 pork chops, simmered on low for hours. going to add beef broth, navy beans, diced potatoes and onion. i'll let you know how much i get. stay warm and safe.
