Frosty out there this morning looks like it had snowed suppose to rain at the end of the week maybe white Christmas for high country.
I think there is a Florida line that keeps moving back and forth over this area here had a big thunder and lightning storm two days ago.
I worked for one with big shops that did everything, did a lot of subcontracting for the highway department pot hole patching, snow removal.
They had their own asphalt plant in another location. I started off fueling the vehicles in the morning like a gas pump attendant with a line.
Rest of the day was helping others and cleaning the shops later I moved up the ladder to servicing them like Jiffy Lube and paint prep sanding.
Tried to learn what I could had 2 brake guys one for dump trucks other for everything else and neither would give up how to do to anybody there.
I also worked for a regular gas station convenience store. Gas brought them in, beer and cigs made the money other stuff was for something needed.
Still remember two college tourist girls giving me a hard time, one asked me if we had any prophylactics and I said what the hell is that to them.
I really didn't know and the other girl goes a rubber she wants a rubber my coworker is pointing out the can condom drink coolies on the counter.
Rubber thing you rolled up on your beer can that had a nipple on the bottom so I took her to the condoms she comes back wants me to find a red one.
My Christmas gifts have been coming in the mail from the family, I got a small box of nice large oranges and have already ate all of them were yummy.
I got a variety of Whitley's and Virginia Diner peanuts. Whitley's peanut brittle was addictive, same with a coffee cake I got from the Virginia Diner.
Also the Virginia Diner restaurant in Wakefield, VA a famous 90 year old landmark is worth a stop for a meal if your taking route 460 to and from beach.
Another gift my aunt sent me was a live meyer lemon tree. I looked it up, figured I would keep it outside in a big pot and then back inside for the winter.
