Big nite. Fingers crossed. Never seen voting lines as long as last few days. Sister in TN reported same for the last week. Biggest concern = votes of college girls following liberal teachers and social media stars like Swift.

On the North Coast:

Stubborn drought continues.

Trees nearly bare of leaves.

All pre-winter outside prep done cept for a few more mows to get grass to 1.5" to prevent snow mold. (And yes, mowing and snow removal incl. in monthly dues, but service never cuts to proper length).

Food continues crazy high. Eggs, butter, house cleaning chemicals. Egg nog = $8.99 a quart!!!

Same w/ building supplies.

Gas $2.99 in few spots, most $3.09.

Halloween dry and mid 60's despite weather forecast for rain. Son's Jaws walk thru exhibit big hit w/ huge crowds as usual. Built a mock up of Quints boat. Trick or Treaters passing thru the exhibit had shark lunge out of a porthole at them and were sprayed w/ water. Lots of screams. This Capt had to take hands of a few little girls to get them through. Kids all very polite.

Picked up (2) butcher prime pork roasts on sale yesterday. Regular $5.49lb marked down to $1.99lb. Boneless, well marbled. Split (1), cut other to boneless ribs.

Community 1.5 million dollar street replacement for 222 homes completed, pool drained for repairs. Monthly dues sure to go up for 2025.

2025 2.5% Social Security increase will boost this Capt's. monthly $84 to $85.68!!!
