2025 for I-40, it's a hundred year flood it has happened before in 1916 but not as many people lived in the mountains in those days.

They have found some alive since cells are coming back. A woman saw a body walking through the debris trying to get to parent's house.

35 now dead in Buncombe County, 600 missing after NC mountains slammed by Helene flooding

I have some of the family had recently moved to Waynesville NC wanted to be near the grandchildren it's near Ashville NC on other side.

They were in the suburbs on a hill so were alright and have power lost cable, internet, cell made an antenna for tv getting PBS with it.

So his truck had some new feature with a wifi hotspot that was working and was able to let us know they were alright after storm was over.

He said there is no gas for vehicles and no trucks coming to the grocery store has been planning on leaving if roads are open can get gas.

Here both Walmart and Food Lion were completely wiped out of bottled water and seemed to be what people were looking for the most also ice.

At both meat counter looked great, milk was about out and rest was getting picked over but was still alright the toilet paper was half gone.

And the gas stations have gas. Anyways here's a couple of Facebook videos and stuff I came across .......

This is Oxford Dam at Lake Hickory you can see a pontoon boat going over and another dock or something right after, other things going over.

Here's a picture on this one of the debris jam against the bridge in the water above the dam on Lake Hickory with a docked pontoon on dock.

Another a tornado during the storm at Blowing Rock and that one destroyed a house, supposedly about half the houses were also flooded there.

The rescue crews are angry as can only go a few miles on ground and need to go 30-40 miles to get to people, they need more helicopters.

Rescue and recovery extend deeper into areas ravaged by Helene

An unreal looking pile up, debris from upstream has been flowing over the dam here will end up in sounds and beach so watch out if boating.
