Listen to your elders

i posted the story about the older gentleman that told me the secret about growing green peppers. i met him at the place i was buying my tomatoes and pepper plants. he said do this and you will get a lot of peppers. he warned me they would look like hell for a few weeks. so i could never grow peppers. i tried everything, sulfur, bone meal, blood meal, you name it. i would get enough to eat, but none to share. i asked the gentleman about the stuff to put in hole. he said no, just good dirt and a little fertilizer. so i planted 6 green pepper plants,(better bell). lost one about 1/2 way thru,wind broke it off. i did what he said and sure enough they looked like hell. i thought this guy was pulling my leg. couple weeks went by and i noticed new green leaves starting to show up. next thing i knew they were really taking off. they started blooming and i had peppers everywhere. i lost count, but i was getting 10 to 15 nice peppers at a time. they are slowing down now but still blooming. i picked these today. wish i would have got that guys number.
