Drought continues. No rain for weeks. Next chance next week. Temps beautiful low 80's. First foliage color has begun.
New streets are completed. Look great. 1.5 million. HOA had enuf in bank to cover and preclude assessments. (Because portion of monthly fees has been set aside for 24 years).
Pumpkins $5.99...slightly smaller and up $1 since last year.
Gas prices slowly dropping. $3.00 avg. Barrel price $68 this morning. Same day in 2021 was $48.
Grocery prices continue very high esp. frozen and fresh items. Butter latest to rise w/ name brand $6.49 lb.
This Capt sadly has still not fished locally yet this year. Mainly due to surgeries (5) and recovery time.
Focusing on yard work. Finishing up gardens clean out and mulching that should have been done in May.
Family clam bake Sun. Prices for middle neck, farm raised/wild = 60 cent/80 cent.
On lighter side ... had 2 women ask this week who the ladies are that sit on either side of this Capt in church. Apparently we are an "item":)).
