it was said the gunman put the ladder up day before event. i think King said agents were in building. if you were secret service and checking out building and there is a ladder going to the roof, do you think maybe that would ring a bell?? you know i'm just an old country boy, but the people i've been around lately ain't got a lick of sense. here is one that will make you think. i was between jobs and took a job at Southern States Coop. i worked there for a few days.(didn't take a rocket scientist to figure things out.) i was waiting on customers and asked the guys where certain things were. they would say over there or back there. when i went to get something, stuff all mixed up, had to dig for it. the place sold a lot of rock salt and water softener salt. so one day there was an older guy there named Dave. I said Dave why is the salt all the way in the back of the warehouse. Dave spit some tobacco juice in the trash can and said that's where it's always been. I said all OK. in about a week or so i pretty much knew the best sellers. i put the salt up front and 2 pallets out front on dock each morning. i rearranged the whole warehouse in 3 weeks, while the other workers chewed tobacco. the store manager called me to his office. he said did you do that to the warehouse. well i said yes, me and the guys. he looked at me funny and said you are the new warehouse manager. i said all, by the way i have 2 guys you can put somewhere else, i don't need them. stay out of the heat, as i am typing 99 degrees.
