If the mall is getting ratty the owners have gave up on it from what I have seen in Virginia that can work this way.
Make the place look good, position a lot of private security through out the mall and cater to them such as clothing.
As for expensive rental houses at beach, people will be looking at other options like own pool in backyard with money.
Going elsewhere like Florida or on a cruise ship maybe some are better off using the money buying groceries right now.
That is some of what I've heard and the don't leave the compound Mexican resorts. I think there are travel warnings up.
My aunt went across at Arizona recently said the bus had a spring sticking out the cushion between her legs never again.
Anyways good luck on your trip and have a safe ride. I'm sure you have some last minute packing and tie the house down.

I'm sure you can find it at the tackle shop, TW's in Nags Head is a must stop in anyway better than Walmart if that's it.
The Walmart here is not bad whoever runs the fishing section does fish. I have found some good small lures, great in pond.
Any good places to eat let us know. I'm sure the Asian place again, here is some in the Kitty Hawk area been good in the past.

Enjoy your trip still same old beach just more stuff built, maybe some good finds at last houses south right at low tide.
There's an old asphalt jetty you can't see there seems to be a catch for seashells, seaglass, bottles and is good fishing.
