Sounds to me like you will be there in time for the big Red Drum run. I think the fishing that time of year is good about all day long. But the big drum love to feed at night!

You will get the Rock Fish in late sept, oct and november down there. So there should be PLENTY of big fish moving in soon ( 6 - 8 weeks or so ) There will also be plenty of Blues around especially right now.
