Sounds like you'll be in the area approx. 3 days. I wouldn't mess around to much walking up and down beaches I'd say get your line in the water ASAP. Surf casting around the pier (Avalon) in KIll Devil prob. your best bet and maybe ride down to little bridge on Manteo causeway near Fishing Unlimited. 7' med to heavy rod, GULPS, GOTCHA PLUGS, Mirrow lures for artificials. Live bait would be sand fleas, fiddler crabs and shrimp on double bottom rig. You can take a beach chair for that kinda fishing.

Good luck and try and relax and have fun...it takes hald a life time to figure things out fishing the banks and some never get it figured out so don't get to frustrated, 3 days is not a lot of time..
