Welcome Steve!
Should be plenty to choose from sound side, surf and piers. The large reds should be in full force ocean side. Might be tough getting a spot on the ends of one of the piers though. I quit fishing those a long time ago. More relaxing if you can find a bar to cast beyond on the beach. Be a good idea to survey at low tide.

Sound kayaking or wading for pups and trout. Little Bridge on the Manteo causeway would be worth a shot early AM or before sunset.

There is plenty around everywhere that time of year so good luck! Best time to be there.
