Same storm already raisin red flags on the North Coast. Too early to tell track but is headline news anyway.
Lows last several days in low teens. Perfect days for carpet scrubbing as furnace runs a lot drying it quicker. However 1st day, 1/4 way into room #1, scrubber rollers stopped. Took most of day to determine cause. Had some new parts on hand (tho don't remember ordering em) + ordered new belts long as its in pieces.
Not been a good week for appliances. Elec. fireplace down for parts, backup sweeper motor burned out, aforementioned scrubber, + ice maker on last legs. Did get basement vac'd and mopped tho. No appliances need for the 2 bucket mopping. Was a (hand job:):)
Remember this Capt predicted new counting method for COVID hospitalizations to make it appear not so serious? It's happening.
Next prediction = administration will slowly begin to change pandemic to endemic. In other words ... learn to live w/ it like flu.
Groceries here for the most part jammed with food tho prices continue to climb. Only shortages are in buyers pockets.
Another wallet hit = 12% increase in county property tax. Re-evaluation puts homestead = 40K more than purchase price in 2004. BTW 75% of the taxes go to schools. Tearin down old has become the norm...and why not with that money comin in regularly. OP's in minority and can't stop the never ending new levies.
Continuing problem here in the OP community with misguided residents continuing to feed (they think) feral cats. Deer, coyotes, minks, skunks, coons, lovin it. Neighbors not so much.
Window replacements in the community the vogue right now. Replacements for 7 range from $9 - 12,000. OP's are easy pickings for window Co.s. Cold weather addles their brains.
Gas yesterday ranged from $2.99. a few miles to the east, and here $3.31.
