Wow did you hit the "Wayback Machine" for me. Uncle owned a Gulf gas station & worked there in the late 60's before graduation in 1969. Gas was $.49 a gallon.
Also had a 67 Chevelle SS 396 ragtop hot rod. Stolen in Philadelphia at CYO in 72 and never recovered.
As for music back then. Still have a stereo system bought at the PX in Norfolk. AM/FM with cassette & 8 track recorder, turntable. Wife always wanted me to sell my records but still got them. Loads of 33's & 45's.
Still play once in a while. Clapton, Frampton, Yes, Beach Boys, Iron Butterfly.
Been doing a lot of brush shreadding around the house. Starting to go house crazy.
