Storm passing well south, nicking Pocahontas in Knoxville.

19 here now. Finally saw sun yesterday after 10 days of clouds, rain/snow.

In spite of month early winter here leaves still on property trees.

Mrs. Capt informed this week LR electric fireplace that she rarely uses not workin. Leakin batteries in remote - no biggee.

But then, after dinner at daughters Fri. nite came home to one of worst winter fears. Furnace on, but no heat. Picked thru "wet ware" (takes longer the older you get) and figured it out. 1st, tho thermostat display on, another leaking battery. When replace did nothing...as w/ PC sometimes...just needed to reboot furnace.

Whole family (finally after many years incl. younger daughter and hubby) will be here Christmas for breakfast and gifts. Dinner at older daughters in evening - Mrs. Capt can't do the all day incl. 2 meals any more.

Laugh of the day. Mrs. Capt fed up w/ 25 year old sweeper held together w/ strapping tape that works well but looks bad. Has to have new one. Have had new unassembled one in original box in basement for years. Put together and gave to her. Vac'd FR, LR, bedrooms and then totally exhausted. Suction so powerful sticks to carpeting. Now complainin bout that. The "no win scenario" again:):) Lovin it:):)
