Did some gem hunting at Emerald Village, Rio Doce, Foggy Mountain. I found a piece of crocodile jasper at Rio Doce I liked, made a ring for me.
It's blue green and brown and is fossilized blue green algae from 3 billion years ago. The oldest known fossil and what produced all the oxygen.
Emerald Village had a variety mixed with some big pieces of green agate also buffalo turquoise that I almost tossed it's white with silver vains.
It looked brighter at a glance than the white feldspar trash gravel. You pay them to go through that which has gem mine scraps mixed in with it.
All had a lot of yellow citrine quartz in it that makes pretty women's rings. The best find was a couple of pieces of natural blue topaz at them.
No sapphires this time, I found a nice ruby and a very big garnet for interesting junk it had some small fools gold nuggets and copper peacock ore.
