North Coast drought continues. 1/2" total rain in last 4 weeks. Storms either dissipate as they near or split and go round (like round the rumored dome over Barksdale AFB in LA.)
Our hearts go out to all you in PA and at the beach w/ the flooding.
As of 0400 hrs this AM, on the darker or funnier side (depending on your sense of humor)...its already hot, humid and little to no chance of rain thru Sun. Temps in 90's thru Sun. The kind of weather OP are told to stay indoors in air conditioning.
Nonetheless, planned on finishin install of gutter guards early today ... but overtaken by events. Furnace stopped last nite. Applyin another of this Capt's areas of expertise - like fishin:):)determined problem = flat spot on blower motor armature. In old days not problem to replace motor but now high efficiency furnace has it buried and safer to pay for service. Not a problem tho as can use this months SS payment = $85.31, to pay it:):)
On a true lighter note...while havin breakfast w/ 2 other vets this week, young woman (young by this Capt's standards) insisted on pickin up our checks - as we are vets. And turned out she was also a vet. Made sure did not stay to talk w/ her outside restaurant as she may have had romantic intentions. (Always a concern for good lookin guys:):)
