Nope...not SUV. Think poor rear visability + not enuf cargo space. Next will be another van...Pacifica or Caravan. Both fold down seats into floor to a full 4 x 8 ft. Need the space for trips. Don't like steeper slant on windshield of Pacifica. Don't like that Caravan hasn't got all features of the Town and Country.
Not buyin again till next year - unless can get $7000 off in incentives before. (Could be a glut of large vehicles if gas goes up as predicted).
Salesman said to Mrs. Capt after last van buy..."You must be a saint." This Capt deals tough on cars - same as fish:):) Get additional discount for bein x neighbor of owner/manager, havin graduated from same school, and AAA member. Insist on top trade price, big incentive cash, 8 oil filters (just in case), Michelin tires, 8 free oil changes and tire rotations, full tank, lifetime free auto washes.
Re: color. Probably stick w/ OP silver. Shows dirt the least.
Re: Shutdown at lights. Neighbor had one of the SUV's that shut off at lights. You can disable once started but next time you restart comes on again. No permanent way - he said.
Re: battery. Just replaced dead one on Spyder last week. 3rd battery in 12 yrs. It was a "so called" 7 year battery. Lasted 25 months 1 week. Only power drains when off are keeping presets in radio and anti-theft on same. 2002. 21,000 miles.
Re: Auto show. Fewer vehicles. Less visitors. Female auto reps all in yoga pants. If idea was to keep eyes on butts and legs it doesn't work as none w/ shapely bods. Faces nothing to write home about either. Nicest car there = Maserati. $175,000.
Didn't escape wrath of last nites storm...uprooted big pine at back of lot.
Leavin now for church fish fry. Word "Fish" 2x this post so doubly legal:):)
