He was later transferred to the 2nd Yorktown aircraft carrier during the war, the first was lost at Midway.

They used the name again on a new carrier because the Japanese hated that ship and they wanted to fool them.

The 2nd is still around docked at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum in Charleston, South Carolina and is worth checking out.
