The Sea Glass Collection

I could have been on the north side early in the morning. I go for conch shells on the first pass then sea glass on the way back with better light. I've only had a 20 something lady jogger say hi lately?
There's been a lot of very old worn green pieces washing up in that area this past winter. The biggest from looking over many years on the north side of Avalon Pier has been real thick flat pieces from a sliding glass door. I found some more smaller size pieces of it again recently, they can be hard to fit in the jar size. I've collected a chunk of that door over the years, I think that's what it is I found a piece not so worn with a little clear caulking still on the edge a long time ago.
I'd use the Hayman Blvd. beach access, don't park at Avalon Pier they don't like it. You might want to try parking at the beach access on the south side of the Black Pelican restaurant and walk south to the houses. I've always found some interesting stuff around those stretches of houses but you have to catch it right, early morning with a certain ocean roughness and sometimes right at low tide is best. It's a good area to look for the real old clear blue greenish Coca-Cola bottle pieces with the raised lettering or even better an uneven bottom. I found one of those bottoms there at low tide on top of a gravel pile. I saw it from way down the beach, still wet and glowing in the sun. Looked just like the bottom of bottle #2 below.
