FISHING (catching) REPORT

I fished the sounds from dry land this weekend. It was cold, wet, and windy but I saw fish caught! Some very nice 16-20 inch trout, loads of undersized puppy drum, and a short flounder. This was on Sunday. I caught one trout myself. It wasn't a blitz by any means but it was fun! The previous Wednesday (April 17) saw most anglers on the Little Bridge end up with a limit of nice Trout and all the throwback puppy drum you wanted. Of course, I was working my other job and missed out on that bite. All in all, things are looking up on the fishing front. The water is warming up, the fish are moving through the sounds, and the offshore bite is heating up. Keep an eye on that wind. As soon as it subsides, there will be some excellent fishing waiting for you.
