Going to Duck

Heading up to Duck last weekend in April and would like to get some fishing in. House on beach rented with family so surf fishing definitely on the agenda. Thoughts on baits, rigs, etc., for up there? Also, any suggestions for sound/by fishing in that area would be greatly appreciated.
