The flash is longer on purpose , when they're wet it tapers down to make a perfect tail :) I've tried the spots off and on , hasn't really made a big difference for me.

For the stripers , I've always had good luck with what we call two tones. White bucktail with a couple of green , yellow or blue feathers in the middle.

I've always been a big fan of fishing any kind of jigs. Seems like they are one of the best artificials I've ever used. At least the most consistent , especially if you can dial in on what kind of movement the fish want.

Tight lines guys! I think we're almost done with cabin fever for this year :)
