The NAPA in Manteo is extremely helpfull. Had the alternator go out (still under warranty from NAPA) and even though there was nothing in it for him he lent me the 1/2 inch drive to get the belt off and charged my batteries for me. I didn't have to ask. Had I been home I would have done this myself but I only carry a small emergency set of tools when I travel. I had this happen about five years ago and did it myself for roughly$150.00. Of all the places I go in the Outer Banks after all these years there are only two that I won't return too. I think that speaks well of the people down there.
