Aftermath Update

The bypass is open in Kitty Hawk. The sand has been scraped off the beach road in KDH and was opened Friday into the south end of Kitty Hawk, fire hoses are across the road pumping water out further north. They didn't clear the sand off the road shoulders so watch out for people and bicycles.

The ocean is muddy with swells from something but not bad, trout and puppy drum are being caught. A lot of shells washed up Thursday morning, it's been picked over still some starfish in the grass / brier piles along with some bottom rigs with sinkers, Gotchas, trout jigs. My best find was a piece of petrified brown driftwood.

Just so you know if your headed to the voting place in Manteo the line was extremely long and hardly moving Friday, young and old white people in it. You don't have to wait in the line if your dropping off an absentee ballot. And somebody pulled up all the Romney signs and replaced them with Obama signs during the day.
