Rodanthe is taking damage too

Lost about 20-25 feet off of the end , plus damage to improvements made to the dune fence and parking lot , maybe more that they aren't aware of yet. I'm glad they hadn't started on the planned extension and t on the end.

I heard that Hatteras Village flooded pretty bad from surf and sound side. I did see a picture of the temporary bridge and it looks very bad , almost covered in water so I'm not sure if it will be safe after the surf dies down. One for sure and maybe two of the oceanfront houses at Mirlo Beach heading into Rodanthe have had their foundations undermined and collapsed.

I hope all of you guys are staying safe. All of my friends on the coast will be in my thoughts.
