I haven't looked at the NPS website lately but we are talking in the teens. The closeures are complete overkill in their size. Before the lawsuit, the NPS was already doing closeures but they were much more reasonable in size. And NO, it is not worth closing the beaches since there is no scientific data that says orv's disturb the nesters. Hell, there is a nest less than 30 feet from Highway 12 in Hatteras where cars are rolling by at 45 mph.
