A Weakfish (common name Gray Trout) is a member of the drum family along with Red and Black Drum, Spotted Seatrout (common name speckled trout), Spot and Croakers. They all can make some sort of croaking or drumming sound. Weakfish are great fighters and taste good if eaten fresh.

The striped ones are Sheepshead and are in the Porgy family. They are excellent table fare. I hope this helps.
