Friday Salvo Report (Late)

Surf. 0630 hrs. Still not fishable. Waves down but water runnin south too fast to hold bottom w/o satelite. W/ satelite...crabs. Sound 0730 hrs. Still hittin hard. Caught over 35, same as other mornings. Blue, flounder (14"), specs, drums, spot, croakers, pins, pigs. 2 bigguns threw hook.

Pacemaker still sore from rod butt while setting hooks.

Had only 10" by 24" view out back van window on trip back. Ladies had a good shoppin afternoon Thursday in Nags Head:):):)

No traffic problems leaving. All 64 bridge and tunnel work suspended due to prior weekend debacle.

Fun at the regular Holiday Inn tho... Made reservations in Aug. Confirmed 9/21 nite stay upon leaving there 9/14. Phoned ahead 9/21 to say we'd be late arriving. Got there at 2300 hrs. and young girl at desk told us we had "no". reservation (same girl who took our 9/21 call re: coming in late), and was down right rude. Part-timer (guy) we've dealt w/ before scratched us up rooms. Wrote letter to mgr. before leaving in AM. Phone was ringing when we arrived back at the homestead. Was the mgr. apologizing for mix up and the "rude" girl. Said girl had pulled that stuff w/ her too, but first time she'd pulled it on a guest. Suspect she's now lookin for work.
