Thanks for the report Capt. D !

I made a quick trip and had some luck in rough (for the area) waters oceanside , but further N. Wind was steady at 15-20 , gusts to ?? , couldn't wear my lucky fishing hat , pier was rocking like a boat.

Tons of 15-18" pups and smaller. When the ones I caught grow up a little more , fall drum fishing on Hatteras is going to be great...

Any kind of cut bait or shrimp was working on a 30 lb. mono rig. Got bit every cast , lost around half. Had a bunch of doubles. Right behind the breakers & foam.

More visitor stories than I can talk about here , but I did give a Marine biology lesson to two young bikini clad gals. :)
