question about freezing corn King

When you froze it on the cob did you do anything to it first or leave it unshucked? Also how long did you keep it frozen? And what type of corn was it?

Sorry for all the questions but I have a large crop ,of Silver Queen about to ripen and would love to freeze some on the cob.
