Hey guys, I hope you are all finding ways to deal with this heat we've been having. My summer has been up and down as far as fishing goes. The month of June was good for me with lots of nice trout and many other species as well. The first week of July, I put my boat in the shop for routine maintenance. They decided to replace a part and it took 8 days to get it back. Next came the slow moving front which brought thunderstorms for almost another week. There was high wind, big water, waterspouts, hail - you name it, we got it.
I finally got back out this past weekend and found hungry fish. I had a party out Saturday and we caught all kinds of fish. I went back out Sunday on a scouting trip and caught trout up to 18 inches. The fish are there and biting when the weather is good enough to be on the water. The picture is part of Saturday's catch. Spotted Sea Trout, Spadefish, Croaker, Bluefish, Black Drum, and Sea mullet.
I posted a link to my reports page. I hope to add lots more soon. Enjoy the summer and try to find you some water to fish in.
