Andy lived near Mann's Harbor, north side of island. House faced the sound, looking back towards NH. You would see him sometimes at the old Seamark in NH buying groceries. I always liked the way Sheriff Taylor resolved problems...used common sense. A nice weekend trip is to visit Mt. Airy NC, the real Mayberry. Many of places seen on the show are open for visit...can even get a haircut at Floyd's Barber Shop.
