Saturday Report - Manteo & Wanchese

Manteo 0830 hrs. Farmers Market. Much smaller than previous years. Ladies managed to find stuff in shops .... as usual. Bookstore of old gone. New bookstore has only 5o/o of books and kids games etc. Old owner lost it all. Water was at 7ft 8".

Wanchese. Lunch at Fishermans Wharf. Outstanding food and service. Recommend scallop chowder. Also best coleslaw around. Hush puppies only 2nd to Captains Table - Buxton.

New "new" inlet 1500 hrs. Apprx. 40 cars parked along 12 north of bridge. Most just lookin, few fishin.

1600 hrs. Weather radio siren going off. Storms due afternoon and evening.

Catchin resumes in the morning
