This may be true about the closing of the beach driving and its effect on the economy.. but how much of that is caused by the gas prices and people just not coming down to vacation. Gas has risen nearly $1.00 a gallon since this time last year and although it shouldn't be a deal breaker to get away for a week or even just a weekend, it does have people thinking twice about those long trips.. I know I have.
