Hatteras fishing advice

Heading to Hatteras with a couple fellow firefighters next week. Can anyone give us some advice on surf fishing? We are down by the ferry. We has some luck at night a couple of years ago for sharks and last year we caught a few blues at the south tip of the island. Thanks. Stop by and have a beer with us...
