It's good, brings more attention to it anyway. The Pilot didn't say what is listed as endangered. Could be the weather cycle in recent years causing more to show up not the trapping and beach closures. Seems to be twisted, they didn't say how many of those turtle nests were lost like after Hurricane Irene. The plover's fledge rate is not on it which has gotten worst. Most likely because areas without beach driving have more ghost crabs than areas that do.
The animals being trapped have always been on Hatteras Island since before Oregon Inlet was formed, most walked on the ground over to there a long time ago and are unique natives to the area worth trying to save. It's like people we are all the same but not all the same.
