In Response To: Oregon Inlet Driving (josh)

You have to pay to drive on the beach now at Oregon Inlet, Hatteras Island, Ocracoke Island along with vehicle free areas and the bird and turtle closures. Ramp 4 at Oregon Inlet is open, as far as I know you can drive north of that ramp. You get your beach driving permit at Coquina Beach across the road where you go to the Bodie Island Lighthouse.
