Carolina dog

Any one have comments about the Carolina dog ?
My son living in Eastern PA. just got himself one.
Another name for the breed is American Dingo.
Supposed to be native to N.C.
I've read quite a bit about them, however I'm just wondering if any one here has any first hand experience with them.
He sure seems like a great pet.
