Collards

As a child growing up my mom made me eat collards 4 to 5 times a week...GOD how I despised them.
After graduating from H.school and moving to Fla. and Hatteras and the Bahamas doing the offshore mating gig I realzed that I really missed them
Upon returning home after being gone for a year......I found some left over collards in mom's refidge and got them out.
I'll come clean........my mom busted me at 5:00am setting in the den by the wood stove with a bowl full of cold collards saturated in hot pepper vinager.
She said "I can see ya still hate them" as she turned around and went back to bed
Nowadays I could eat Collards and shrimp almost every day
