A Change of Pace

To get us back to fishing. Not that I don't think the political discussion is good and necessary , and even civil here among us , but it's a slippery slope.

The link below is to an article I have on my blog. It has the details on an upcoming tournament here at Smith Mountain Lake that is being hosted by the Virginia Tech Bass Fishing Team. I've fished with the team president (great young fisherman by the way) and I told him I'd help get the word out. So if you are in VA and like to bass fish , it's worth a look.

This is the first year , so it's mainly just a fishing tournament , but their goal is to eventually turn it into a fishing "event" with fishing seminars , knot tying clinics , etc. Sort of a fisherman's outreach program. I think it's pretty cool that a bunch of college fisherman are so devoted - my mind was on other things when I was in school :)
