What a trip!

I met 5 buddies at VA Beach Saturday night to fish for Stripers on Sunday. We got a call from the captain at 6 the next morning saying that the weather had turned sour overnight - 17 to 22 knots with 4 to 6 foot waves. We went anyway. It was snotty out there, three of us got sick, but fish were biting. We boated 7 fatties but when the waves got even higher, we went in. All in all,I got my butt kicked out there and then went home to watch the Packers give the game away to the Giants. I'm glad I had yesterday off to recuperate.

I need to find some closer fish. Does anyone fish the western Albemarle sound for rockfish? Are they still biting around the Edenton bridge?
