beavers

I know this is a fishing board but with people from all over posting on it I think someone may have an idea. I have a serious beaver infestation in my pond. Since Thanksgiving my neighbor and I have shot and killed 13. I still have more and am planning on continuing to shoot them but wondered if anyone had any ideas. I don't want to set traps because dogs run free around here. Any ideas will be appreciated.
