I guess the bridge at Oregon Inlet has been the hot spot. Just some ideas I'd try eels further out on the catwalk, 2 hours before to 2 hours after high tide either during the day or at night. The Coquina Beach area on the north side of Oregon Inlet might be worth a try for a striper, I'd fish just over the outer bar with cut bait where you can reach it. Also walking over at Ramp 1 it's the last parking area on the beach road in South Nags Head, first light might be good there. Pay attention to the bird activity.

You could try the street lights after dark like the parking lot lights at Avalon Pier or the street light on the north side of the pier at Helga Street. Good for a big spiny for sure.
