Christmas Lights

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and everybody else!

The weather has been nice at the beach. I went by the Christmas House in Kill Devil Hills to see the lights on the way back from Darrell's last night. They were letting people park along the road and walk around this year, really had a big crowd there. Most seemed to be considerate letting people get by but one turned on the high beams and wouldn't cut them off! :(

Darrell's Restaurant in Manteo was really good as usual. The parking lot was crowded but they had plenty of tables open and were closing at 8pm. They had a lot of specials, I got the seafood basket which was fried flounder, fried oysters and shrimp on top of french fries in a big wicker basket on a plate with a couple of hush puppies and a side dish of cole slaw. Yum! :)

Here's some pictures of the Christmas House below. It's at the end of Ocean Acres Drive, the road is right beside Pigman's Barbeque across from McDonalds on the 158 bypass if you want to see the lights and decorations. There's a cul-de-sac over on the right after you go by the house at the bottom of the hill where you can turn around and go back. Watch out for small kids running out in front of you, happend twice.
