I know I post links on here to my site sometimes. I really try not to spam you guys because I enjoy being a part of this "community". I'm going to post three links in this post to start a discussion about fish kills. We had one very close to home (explained in the 3 blog posts) and it wiped out a good fishery for 30-40 pound Stripers that is just now coming back. I'm writing up a series about it to explore some of the different things that can cause a fish kill and to share my personal experiences with it.
Since it's winter and the board is slowing down , would any of the regulars , semi regulars or lurkers here like to share your own personal experience with fish kills? I know of a few on the Outer Banks and in Florida , but I'm curious to see what you guys have to say.
Surely with the combined knowledge of the regular fishermen here and our esteemed captains , the Salty Board can come up with a few good fish tales!
Here's the first 3 parts of mine :
Part One : The Beginning of the End , http://www.somefishblog.com/2011/12/true-story-about-collapse-of-fishery.html
Part Two : A Two Headed Monster , http://www.somefishblog.com/2011/12/true-story-about-collapse-of-fishery_07.html
Part Three : "Dead Fish Everywhere..." , http://www.somefishblog.com/2011/12/true-story-about-collapse-of-fishery_08.html
I always appreciate the support I get from here , so " Thanks!"
