Billy's Seafood in Colington said they were getting ready to close soon for the season about a week ago. They had shrimp and crabs, don't know about oysters I hadn't bought any lately.

I remember some kind of contamination warning about oysters right after Irene, I'm not sure about now. I got sick from oysters when I was a kid, really thought I was going to die sick and wouldn't eat them again until I got older. They were fried oysters during the summer at a restaurant on the Nags Head Causeway, I don't remember the name of the place. I think it was where the Lone Cedar is now but not them and it had green carpet on the walls.

Awful Arthur's across from Avalon Pier is a good place to get oysters and they have been open most of the year, it's not pricey but can be noisy in there. You can call and pick it up.
