Surfside Motel-Nagshead

Can anyone tell me if the surf fishing is any good out back of this motel? Went to Buxton weekend before last, stayed at Lighthouse View, did not catch squat, weather was way too pretty. Trying to shorten up the trip. Maybe just fish in Nagshead, do not have 4WD. The rates and rooms look great at his place. Any feedback would be appreciated. "Rocky Mt Roseman"
